2-2170724-3 QSFP28 1x6 Cage Assembly with Heat Sinks and Light Pipes

The 2-2170724-3 is a 1x6 cage assembly designed for use with QSFP28 MSA-compliant transceivers. It features a through-bezel design and comes equipped with heat sinks and light pipes for improved thermal and optical performance.

The cage is made from nickel-silver alloy, offering reliable EMI shielding. The heat sink is aluminum with a black anodized finish for efficient heat dissipation. A stainless steel clip secures the heat sink in place. The EMI spring is nickel-plated copper alloy, and the light pipes are made from clear polycarbonate rated to UL 94 V-0. The assembly also includes an EMI gasket made from plated, filled silicone, also rated UL 94 V-0 for flame resistance.

This cage assembly is built to support high-speed data transmission in networking and telecom equipment, where thermal management and EMI control are critical.
