A: The LPJE160HENL contains no internal magnetic transformers or choke coils. It is a direct physical pass-through connector. If you are designing a standard 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet port with this part, you must place discrete magnetic transformers on your PCB. Conversely, if you are designing RS-485, CAN bus, or proprietary DC systems over RJ45, the non-magnetic design is mandatory to prevent inductive shorting of DC signals.

Left LED (Green): Pin 9 is Anode (+), Pin 10 is Cathode (-).
